❃ Dunkleosteus was a large, armored fish that lived during the Late Devonian period. It reached lengths of up to 10 meters (33 feet) and is one of the largest known arthrodires.
❃ Dunkleosteus had a large, elongated head and a long, torpedo-shaped body. It was covered in thick, bony plates that formed a type of armor. Its massive jaws were lined with sharp, bony plates that could crush prey. It is thought to have been a predator of large fish and invertebrates.
